The Challenge Phangan is a heart-racing test of your physical ability and bravery, as you tackle the collection of obstacles on water, at least making your wipe-outs entertaining for spectators. You can do a timed lap or just try for fun, as many do, just to try and make it over the big red balls! The course has an obstacle for everyone and is a popular family venue, with adults and kids alike having their own leader boards. The atmosphere is jovial with some healthy spirited competition thrown in for good measure. The top three times are held by The Challenge staff, and watching them take on the course is phenomenal in itself. The party piece is The Blob, which, as the video above shows, launches you into the air with very little control over your desperately flailing limbs, and also possibly the most fun thing to do in the universe. After the joyous rigour of taking on the course, you can fill up in the restaurant and grab a delicious cocktail, happy hour runs daily from 4 – 6 pm.
