What an experience we had! 7 travellers in our group have never visited Thailand and I was a little concerned that not everyone will enjoy it. How wrong was I ! I heard about the travel agency through my friend Bernadine Fransman. If anyone wants to go on vacation, you need to plan, book and pay. Remmert Malan (travel agency) from Hello Island was very much in contact with us, and helped us through the process. Communication was informative. We received a Digital Travel Booklet with loads of information on how to plan our day to day outings. On arrival drinks were served, it was a very hot day. Check in staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Rooms were very comfortable with all modern amenities. A holiday well spent, every day was a treat. We visited alot of places, the Buddha, temple, elephant riding, the upside-down house, zip lining, the Simon cabaray show, the nut factory, gem gallery and many more. The Phuket mall has a 5storey building very big (a treat on its own). We also had a trip with the ferry to Phi Phi Island for 3days. While on the boat we view the beautiful scenery and Maya Beach. We hire the Longtail boat to take us for swimming and snorkeling. We stop at Monkey beach and took some pictures. Thailand is very safe and clean. Should we go again next time, for sure we would definitely use Hello Island again .They really have outstanding services.

Thailand is a GEM. To us South Africans it is sooo affordable. Whether your are into the hustle and bustle, or just want to relax next to the beach – there is something for everyone.

An excellent island hopping package put together by Remmert Malan, all hotels were as advertised by Remmert – 5 star in our opinion, transport arranged was promptly, breakfasts in the hotels were 5 star, a pity that during our last three days in Krabi we encountered rain but we knew that we might get rain sometime. We will definitely use Remmert Malan for future Thailand trips, we would like to see that a few days at Koh Samui instead of all 7 nights at Patong Beach.

The only bit of constructive criticism I would like to mention is no reflection on Remmert whatsoever, but on the PP Princess Resort: after the amazing comfort of the beds at The Nature Phuket, the beds at PP Princess were appallingly bad. As hard as planks and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on.

Before going into details, I wanna start by saying, if you are heading to Thailand for a holiday then Hello Island should be your best friend.
My trip was postponed a few times due to covid but my friend and I never gave up and throughout, I was getting communication from the Hello team.
The day of departure was approaching and everything was done without struggle, the only thing we had to do was provide travelling documents basically.
From the moment we set foot in Phuket airport, there was someone waiting for us with my name and took us straight to our hotel.
Everything was included in the digital travel booklet and by Everything and mean EVERYTHING, we had our itinerary in there, the best itinerary ever. We followed the itinerary that was made for us by the Hello team and I have never been to such an epic trip before. From day 1 till the last day.
We had taken the 4 Island including Bankok, best decision ever made, we were even starting to speak a little bit of Thai haha, the trip started off with at the islands, where we did snorkeling, scuba (I wish) haha but we didn’t have enough time to do training on that, I was flying on that parachute thing being pulled by a boat, the video is amazing, we came across weird animals, we had a swim in the beautiful natural lagoons, we partied at the beach, we hardly ever slept to be honest and long story short, we wrapped things up by blowing all the money in Bangkok before heading back LOL, 2 men shopping like new yorkers, we couldn’t help it and Bankok was just the place to do that.

Just book a trip with Hello Island, pack up and be ready to have a time of your life. Leave everything to them like we did.

Well, where do we start?

Since the first communication with Remmert and Team at Hello Island, all went as smooth as a hot knife in butter. We have given through our needs and what we wanted to do and they have put together a holiday package to suit our needs.

And was this now a great and awesome experience.

The electronic booklet makes it so much easier as all your vouchers for travelling, accommodation and transfers are included. Not to forget the tips given to you and what / where you can explore and enjoy good quality time.
Our seats were booked online by Remmert, so it’s like packing your bags and getting onto the Aeroplane, forgetting about everything and relaxing. Nothing to worry about.
On arrival, great welcome by our guide taking us to Hotels for an awesome holiday experience waiting on us. Time to relax and experience Phuket and its surroundings in your own time. We have included a couple of Islands this year, which was awesome as all arrangements by Hello Island were done professionally with no issues.

Indeed, credit must go to Remmert when we needed assistance from him this year for a Dentist after day 4 in Phuket with an Emergency for my wife. 15 Minutes and I was informed that an appointment has been arranged and all necessary info was provided by Remmert, even made an appointment as well. Thanks for all that help Remmert. For this reason, his 24-hour Emergency number as provided in the booklet assisted us a lot.

Then coming to all transfers between the Islands. Surely, this was awesome and all in place. Everything was on top with no hassles and believe me, I will never go through the hassle to do all bookings myself. When it comes to pick-ups, for transfers. Drivers on time at all Hotels and Piers. One is really treated like a King, compared to those travelling with you.

Hotels / Accommodation.
Outstanding and we were surprised by the hospitality and the way we were welcomed and treated at all hotels we stayed over. Now, I need to mention that this year we stayed over in 9 different hotels/locations (Phuket, Phi Phi, Railay Island, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Khao Sok (Jungle Village Hotel & The Lake) and Khao Lak. Breakfast and at some even lunch and dinner included. Great variety of food which you can never complain about. Almost too much to choose from. And this was great with an awesome experience at each of them. For sure to be visited again in the future.

Overall, we had a great time in Thailand with the most friendly people although it was a bit quiet, one will understand after the Covid, but surely business will pick up and I believe will return to normal again. All excursions we have booked locally with good prices and excellent service. Never did we have a dull moment.

Then, all compliments to Remmert Malan and his Team at Hello Island for arranging such a great holiday for us where great memories and friendships were made and will last forever.

To those future and regular travellers, for sure you will not make a mistake making use of Hello Island, putting your package together for an unforgettable vacation.

A wonderful holiday with a detailed itinerary, especially Ao Nang, Krabi. Here, details from the restaurants to massage places were helpful and spot on. The itinerary made it easy to plan our days as little of our own research was required. However, more information and updates should be done for Koh Phi Phi (many of the recommended restaurants have closed) and Railay Bay (very limited information provided). Hello Island was meticulous in their approach to our needs. I would gladly go on another Hello Island planned holiday.

The entire holiday was absolutely amazing, with an incredibly unique hotel stay at The Nature Phuket, with all arrangements on point from the Hello Island team. The travel guide also proved to be extremely useful, with us enjoying many wonderful meals and activities from the recommended list.

I just came back from my 11 night Island hopper holiday. It was an amazing stress free adventure. There were a lot of logistics in terms of my itinerary from flights, transfers, hotels, ferry’s etc. Remmert and his team from Hello Islands took care of it wonderfully. Everything they promised was delivered. Even when I was in Thailand, they were in constant contact with me and still advised me on how I could maximize my days in each part of the island. Remmert has been incredibly helpful. I am still amazed by how well he planned our Trip to Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi. Due to the somewhat low price we paid (in my opinion), I did not have the highest expectations. However, all my expectations were far exceeded. All flights, accommodation, breakfast and ferry trips were included and of really good standard. We enjoyed the Bay View Resort at Phi Phi the most due to its incredible views from the rooms, however each hotel/resort had something special about them. The digital travel booklet is ALL you will need when booking a holiday with Hello Islands. I kept it on my phone and visited it daily for recommendations on where to dine and what to see and do. Remmert, you made our dreams come true, I will never forget this trip to Thailand. I have several bruises and scars and a lost toenail as evidence of the fun I had LOL! I highly recommend Hello Islands and Thailand – the locals are incredible and all destinations we visited had an anything-goes-vibe. In my opinion, Thailand offers really good value for money, especially the massages. Thailand has more spa’s/parlours than we have taxi’s in SA. For the best massage I would recommend the beach massages on Long Beach in Phi Phi and the All day massage and sea in Ao Nang. If you’re young and up for it, you should not miss Bangla Road in Phuket for a night out you would never forget or the CentrePoint in Krabi, 3 levels of bars, nightclubs and restaurants and Cabarets by Ladyboys with the biggest boobs I have ever seen lol!

We certainly hope to be back, but secretly hoping Remmert starts to offer packages to Brazil as that is where we hope to go in 2020. Happy travels!!

It was a trip to remember. My sister and I met Remmert Malan in February 2019 at a restaurant in Oude Westhoff. After that meeting we put a deposit down and for 6 months we paid off the rest for our trip to Thailand. We left on 24/7 and came back on 18/8. When we landed untill the 4/8 we visited Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi. The professional service we received from Hello Islands was outstanding. From the paperwork received for your transfers, drivers that were always on time to pick us up for our transfers and amazing hotels we stayed at. I give it ten stars. On the 4th we flew to Pattaya to visit a friend and although this part of our journey was on our own Hello Islands made it so easy for us by booking our flights for that part of our journey. As a final year university student this was my first time travelling overseas but also my first time travelling without my parents. As you can imagine there was potential for this to be an incredibly stressful experience but Hello Islands made it an absolutely seamless and unforgettable one, all we had to do was show up to our flights and everything else was taken care of. The accommodation at Seaview Patong Hotel was perfect and we would love to stay there when we visit Phuket again, in future.
We will however, never ever travel with Etihad Airways again. The flight travel time was killing us, because the seats are so small and uncomfortable. Their service and food are terrible and definitely not what we are used to on other airlines (and we travel a lot).

At the outset, I must declare that I was incredibly apprehensive entrusting a relatively unfamiliar agency to book my island getaway. But boy was I proved wrong!

From my first enquiry to my last boarding pass, Remmert and the rest of the Hello Islands team were always on hand to tend to every concern of mine, however great or miniscule it was. I cannot begin to convey what a relief it was to have the team on hand at every stage of the vacation and preliminary stages (an unexpected service to be honest). It allowed for a relaxed and carefree holiday experience. With the bulk of the administrative matters having been lifted off my shoulders, I was able to bask in all of Thailand’s richness and beauty. I thank the team for affording me an unforgettable experience that has left an indelible mark in my memoirs.

The thorough, chronological compilation of the digital travel booklet made for a simplified reference point throughout my journey. Having had transfers booked in advance (that too with reliable and quality service providers) ensured easy commute between the different stages of the trip. It’s easy (perhaps inevitable) to get swindled as a foreigner in this context, and this simple strategy served a much needed protective mechanism.

The calibre of accommodation booked was appropriate across the islands visited. The living conditions were sufficient to provide a clean and peaceful haven of rest after busy days of touring. It must be noted that minor plumbing issues were experienced in Phi Phi, but were tended to swiftly.

The professional and timeous culture of communication exhibited by the Hello Islands team has left a lasting impression on me. I will not hesitate to engage with the agency in the future for personal and/or referral reasons.

Food and drinks was excellent, and overall the staff is very friendly and helpful, Yunita, Toy, Roberto, Jonathan who sings for us, and all the other staff members, cannot mention all the names, were very friendly and helped feeling at home there. Thanks again for Remmert who did all the arrangements. Wish i can invent time travel, flights is so long.

This was amazing! Easiest overseas trip that I have ever been on, as the Hello Islands team took all the hassle and guesswork out of the equasion. Booked us into the most beautiful hotels in the most convenient locations. I highly recommend booking your Thailand trip through this company!

Remmert and team were amazing. We did a very late booking for July holidays 2019 and were still able to get great rates for a family of 7. Choice of accommodation was great at all three destinations and flights, transfers and ferries were all on time and hassle free. We even made a late change to stay longer on one island which was organised promptly with no penalties. The personalised digital guide we received upfront had all info we needed with flights vouchers travel info etc etc. All we had to do is have our passports ready. I will definitely use Hello Island again.

Feedback on the 2019 Vacation.

Since booking was made with Hello Islands, all were taken over and taken care off. The digital travel booklet made it all crystal clear on what to expect. Then came our vacation, we were checked in by Remmert and Team which assisted a lot. This already helped a lot.

I can never say that I was disappointed in any way whatsoever as all arrangements was in place with any enquiries handled and sorted within 10 minutes.

My personal opinion, never will or shall I recommend any other company to take care of my travel arrangements. Hello Islands is doing one great job and I am glad to make use of their services.

This is the first time in our lives we have actually booked a package deal trip and have travelled to over 20 countries on our own in our lives. From the get-go ie even the initial enquiry phase, the service provided was personal, immediate, comprehensive and accurate. The holiday itself was perfectly arranged and all the transfers were on time and the hotels we stayed at were superior to what we tend to book when making our own arrangements. the trip was well organized and easy to navigate through the itinerary. the pick ups were always ahead of time and never late. the emergency contact that was provided was fast and very supportive when we accidentally left one hotel with our room card, quick arrangements were made to avoid us from paying any penalties. with the transport and accommodation so well organized and on a time schedule we were free to worry about what fun stuff to get up to over there rather than worrying about check ins and flagging down the cheapest taxis… all and all what an amazing trip.

What a wonderful holiday, Every arrangement worked smoothly and exactly as one would want when moving around a country you cannot speak the language and those around you do not speak english. We got each place on time and every connection flowed fairly smoothly. We had a glorious time of snorkelling particularly at Koh Kradan.

I would like to Thank Hello Islands for an amazing travel experience. My husband an I had a fantastic time. Everything was well organised and people were very prompt an efficient, I only have one recommendation if muslim couples/families travel it would be great if they let the hotel know in preparation for their breakfast. Lucky for us the staff at the hotels were very accommodating they prepped our breakfast (to be more specific omelets an eggs were made in separate pans) were no pork was made in but a halaal option would be fantastic

I can not recommend Hello Islands enough. As first time travelers, we encountered so many hiccups before even leaving the country, mostly with issues at the Dept Home Affairs. The Hello Islands team were patient and reassuring throughout.

THIS REVIEW IS WAY OVER DUE BUT HAS TO BE POSTED. We were fortunate enough to have a trip to Thailand booked by Remmert and his team. We initially went the normal booking route through Flight Centre, Pentravel & StaTravel but they all had a issue with our budget and what we had planned to see/do or just never bothered getting back to us. My wife found Hello Islands through Facebook (BY LUCK) and decided we should have a look. We gave them a call and asked if they can come up with a package that suites our needs. He mentioned we should have a look at their packages and see if something caught our eye. Sure enough they had exactly what we wanted, Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok all in one. We amended a package slightly and went ahead and booked. Our complete trip was 14 nights in total including all flights, transfers and accommodation. They gave us a complete itinerary in the form of a digital travel book which made us feel like we knew exactly what we were in for. The whole process was stress free as Remmert was so professional and helpful throughout. We had a number we could contact/WhatsApp at any time if we needed advice or help in any way whilst abroad. It has most definitively been the most amazing trip and experience of my life thus far!

Hello Islands (Remmert) has been so professional from booking our trip to checking in with us throughout our trip to see if we’re still enjoying ourselves. Even when we had trouble with a ferry company, accidentally cancelling our ferry, he was quick to contact us (after hours) and arranged other transport and immediately refunded the cancelled bus&ferry transfer.

The attention to detail that went into our travel booklet blew my mind and it was super helpful throughout our trip as all the questions that came into my head was answered as soon as I opened the booklet.

The hotels he booked for us were amazing and all at great prices!

A fantastic, cost effective holiday and everything it was advertised as. We cannot thank Remmert and his team enough for their attention to detail in the organisation of this trip suffice to say that Remmert took the time and trouble to make our arrangements on a public holiday way back in March! All transport worked like clock work with not one hitch. Resorts were well prepared for their guests and one was always greeted by wide Thai smiles.We chose the 10 day package with 6 days Phuket, 2 days Phi Phi with the final 2 days in Krabi. Our positive critiscism would be to try and spread the days more evenly over the 3 resorts. All resorts had fantastic accommodation in great locations but of the 3, the resort in Phi Phi could do with some attention to maintenance as the grounds and approach to it appeared scruffy. This however did not detract from the beauty and our stay on this island. This was our third visit to the area and possibly the best way of doing it, through Hello Islands. The presentation of holiday literature and travel documentation is superb. Thank you Remmert and team. We highly reccomend your company to others who wand a taste of Thailand.

The remoteness of the Escape Beach Resort came as a bit of a surprise but since we were only there for a short time it was lovely. Seaview Patong remains my all time favourite for Thai travel. This being my fifth trip to Phuket, Thailand, I always return feeling thoroughly
relaxed.
The hotel we stayed in was very enjoyable with friendly staff. The breakfasts
were more than adequate for our needs. The Seaview Patong hotel suites us
just fine as the location proves to be perfect with no excessive noise at night.
Our rooms were cleaned every day and the aircon worked perfectly.
It also was a pleasure dealing with Hello Islands as all our bookings and airport check inns were perfectly accommodated and ran very smoothly from being picked up from the airport and checking out.

Everything with respect to the trip was pre-arranged. We did not have to ask anything about the trip. Transfers to and from the hotel was on time and the agent in Phuket called about 15 minutes after we landed in Phuket to check if we were fine. A holiday without any concerns and well worth the money spend. Will recommend to anybody.

The Crib hotel in Phuket Patong is good for people that enjoys the busy night life – it was very close to the night market and the mall which was convenient – however the smell at the hotel was terrible in the passages as well as in the rooms that are looking out over the night market. Ooh well Phuket, you put us in a good hotel. The rooms were very spacious and linen was fresh n white. Could not ask for anything more. The breakfast was ooh so comprehensive and delicious.

Well Bangkok was lovely for its shopping – and nightlife at Khaosan road. We are going back for this one to shop properly. Chatuchak Market was on steroids, nothing like it.

Very well organised holiday thanks to Hello Islands! They put together a pack that has everything you need from travel bookings, hotel bookings and info as well as information of what you can do at each place you go to, and all in order. This takes a lot of stress out of the travelling! I would recommend buying a local SIM card when you arrive at an airport, we got a dtac Happy Tourist SIM which worked perfectly, we used it a few times to find the drivers for the transfers between hotels and airports. The travel booklet from Hello Islands also provides other useful info about your destination such as what ATMs to use or what the respectful things are to do when visiting a temple. We really enjoyed our time there. Thank you Hello Islands for being so helpful and proactive!

If you are planning an island vacation, this was the a most stressless, organized to a T, vacation a have ever booked through an agency. Thank you Hello Islands, especially Remmert for the constant updates and re-confirmation by telephone and e-mails before and during our trip. Even all the tips of our different destinations were spot-on and very helpful. All travelling, pick-ups, drop-offs went excellent even though some flights and ferrys were late. We had a lovely holiday! All the arrangements worked out perfectly. The Thai people are friendly, helpful and service-oriented and the rand goes a long way. This must be the best holiday we have ever experienced. Top class service with a 1st class digital handbook. Everything worked out like clockwork and the family enjoyed tremendously. The only critique we have is to ensure that families with very young children are well aware of the very long trip from Koh Toa to Phuket by boat/bus. In addition, we recommend strong warnings regarding mosquitos at Koh Tao. Apart from this, we will highly recommend Hello Islands to all friends and families.

Thank you Hello Islands for organising an AMAZING holiday for us to Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi! The hotels were fantastic and all the transfers were excellent. This Thailand trip was the trip of a lifetime, together with all our best friends. The planning that was put into this trip is unbelievable. Flights, Busses, Ferries, Hotels. Everything was in place as we arrived after long trips.
From Street parties and PingPong shows in Patong. Riding Scooters, visiting water parks and Lady Boy Cabarets in Koh Samui. Yacht Trips with a never ending clear ocean and the most amazing prepped lunch. Beach parties on Koh Phangan and sleeping in awesome bungalows right on the beach. Then came PhiPhi!! Late, Late nights and not so early mornings. Walking up to beautiful view points overlooking almost the entire island. Walking through the streets one could shop for days, foot massages, Thai massages, head massages – these I miss the most. I bet we all wished this holiday would never end, however it did and I’d book another trip with Hello Islands in a heartbeat!!

Best organized trip with no hassles. This was not my first trip to Thailand and Hello Islands by far made this a trip to remember. From the flights to the hotel transfers to the bus and ferry trips we had no worries.
After all our research, by far the best prices out of all the travel companies for sure!!

Booked a trip with Hello Islands in 2016 and was overwhelmed by the outstanding service and quick response to my queries. We even got a booklet with all details to our 2-week trip. An awesome extra that I did not expect.

The trip
Landing in Thailand for the first time I did not know what to expect. Walking out the Airport door our shuttle was waiting for us with my name on it. He was very helpful and a great driver ( something in Thailand that you will appreciate ) The rest of the trip was smooth sailing with no booking problems at the 6 different resorts we stayed. A must is booking all transport with them as it made life hassle free on the trip.

Recommendation.
For any Thailand holiday, I will use Hello Island from now on as they are very well priced and service is excellent.
